Quark Due

The students had to be accomodated for the move to Milan and IDII chose Quark Due, a hotel which also offered serviced apartments. The erratic work schedule of some of the students meant many stories about cleaning staff who would walk in unannounced but that was also part of life at Talponia. The major difference was the location which was next to a highway and a brutalist-designed power station. The commute to the studio now 30 minutes on a bus instead of 5 minutes by bicycle. Not as much group work took place in Quark Due, instead many pot luck dinners and watching Battlesar Galactica on sunday nights after it was streamed from the US. More socialising also took place near the studio in the Navigli area
